Burger Bench & Bar
Decked out in curved wood panelling, B3 looks like a cross between a Tokyo subway station and a comfy log cabin. the classic cheeseburger is a juicy pink patty enveloped in a blanket of soft, caramelised onions.
The sesame butterfish burger had a slightly wet texture, but the wasabi mayo gave it a kick worth savouring. Ingredients for the ice cream were back in stock, so the meal ended on a sweet note: the rich, home-made dark chocolate soft serve, a real treat that made a refreshing change from uniform vanilla or chocolate.
With the latest addition to his canon of eateries, Low’s B3 is a prime example of the new breed of express-class restaurants that haven’t sacrificed freshness in their bid to emphasise taste and quality.
