The largest island in Vietnam, Phu Quoc is fast gaining fame for its turquoise waters and lush green jungles. La Veranda Resort, new to the island, is offering two special packages for travellers. The City Experience package for two includes daily breakfast, romantic sunset cocktails on the terrace of the hotel’s bar overlooking the beach and a half day tour around the island, going from USD161 (RM563) per night. The Gourmet Experience includes the breakfast and the cocktails as well, but instead of the tour, you get a 3-course dinner at la Table with scenic views over the gulf of Thailand from USD166 (RM580) per night. A minimum stay of two nights is applicable to enjoy the packages.
