The Warehouse is a triple threat in every sense of the word, comprising an art gallery (The Warehouse Gallery), a café (Café Art) and a steakhouse (Ril’s Steakhouse). The ground floor houses The Warehouse Gallery (pictured), home to various local art and images with prices starting from RM20. A small selection of uniquely refurbished and limited edition vintage furniture from the Second Charm antique shop is also available for sale. Café Art, which serves illy coffee, pastries and The Last Polka ice cream in an eccentric tangerine-coloured space, is located behind the art gallery.
The adventure continues upstairs on the first floor, where Ril’s Steakhouse lies in wait for your patronage. The menu at Ril’s consists mainly of steak; prime ribs, filet mignons and other bone-in choices from Gemas Gold and Australian Prime while the bar serves cocktails and wines. The Warehouse, which has been operational for less than six months, breathes new life into an ageing part of town and features an intriguing mix of new age quirkiness and old school charm, which is reason alone to give this new establishment a visit or two. 198 Jalan Tun HS Lee (03 2022 0528/www. thewarehouse.com.my).
