What it is: This laksa is heavy on the fish, resulting in a thicker, richer gravy than the soupy versions of the north, and the hardier spaghetti is used as a noodle substitute. Johor laksa is harder to find than your run of the mill curry laksa, and Pinang Masak is one of the few places in town that does it right.
Where to get it: Pinang Masak, K2 Taman Tunku, off Jalan Langgak Tunku, Bukit Tunku (03 6201 1964).
