Ever wish to be to be able to contact your favourite Premier League football players? Have tonnes of questions you want out of your chest? Now you can with the brand new web portal Contact The Players.Com.
This site, www.contacttheplayers.com, launched on March 18 2009, promises direct access to most of the English Premier League, English Championship or Scottish Premier League players, guaranteeing that they will receive your messages, and also guaranteeing that you will receive replies from some of them!
Sending messages through the site is quite easy, in a straight forward 3-step process. All you need to do is to just select your favourite player, write your message, and send it via the dedicated message centre. You then just sit tight, and wait for the reply.
The downside of all of this is only one – this service is not free. Apart from the free first message that you’ll receive after registration, the subsequent ones that you send will be charged a flat GBP1 per message. But looking on the bright side of things, this is quite cheap if you take into account that messages send other ways to these players will invariably cost more, and it won’t be guaranteed that the players will read them.
Currently the site boasts of having some 70+ football players on their list who will respond to messages. Not bad for such a new venture. And considering the site intends to grow more, you can definitely expect more names to come on board.
For now, though, being a Liverpool fan myself, seeing Torres’ name up there is more than enough for me. Hmm, wonder if I’ll get an autographed jersey from him if I bombard his mailbox everyday?
