Merdeka Trading
Merdeka Trading is a small, high-ceilinged enclave lined with niche, imported dairy products. One happy customer we met there swears by their milk powder (‘This milk powder you want to try or not? Do tea or coffee using this milk powder, much more tastier than this Nespray all.’)
The store is stocked with many unlikely things like curry sauces, vermicelli, fenugreek leaves, sunflower oil, mustard seed oil, coconut oil and evry other oil imaginable. Even amla oil; it’s Indian gooseberry. Their products are from all over the world, and have come to congregate in this little corner of Brickfields.
