Now open: Forever 21 flagship store in Mid Valley Megamall
We check out the new Forever 21 flagship store and come back very impressed. By Lim Chee Wah

Okay, now that’s out of the way, let’s talk about the extremely big Forever 21 flagship store in Mid Valley Megamall, which opened yesterday. The space, spread across two floors, is almost palatial. And it’s quite orderly as well; floor space is sectioned according to trends, and there are currently more than ten trends available. There are dedicated spaces for classic Americana, geometric/tribal patterns, summery dresses, work-friendly styles, basics and even a shoe salon (we spotted Charlotte Olympia-esque pumps, and some really nice wedges).
What we find most impressive about the store is that pieces that go well together are displayed close to each other. So even if you don’t have a sense of style, you can still put together a cool look – provided you have common sense, of course.
Some of the trends you can expect at the store
Prices are very affordable (think cheap and cheerful): a t-shirt dress for RM39, a neon yellow party dress for RM89 (available in electric pink as well), a sheer blouse for RM69, and hair bands for RM7. The store layout and concept remind us a lot of H&M, and that’s a good thing. There’s a lot to see and try in here, and the choices can be overwhelming.
The brand, originated from Los Angeles, is known to bring the latest trends hot off the runway and into the stores in less than four weeks. So it looks like high street fashion is invading KL. It’s about time.
