Istana Budaya

Literally translated into ‘Palace of Arts’ the Istana Budaya is the National Theatre and home to the National Theatre Company and National Symphony Orchestra. It has been ranked on the Top Ten list of most sophisticated theatres in the world. It is built based upon the architectural design of a traditional Malay house and situated next to the beautiful Titiwangsa Lake. Shows that have been performed here include 'Cats', 'Mamma Mia!' and the 'Merchants of Bollywood' extravaganza.
