Instant Café Theatre’s CHAI House
The recently opened CHAI House by Instant Café Theatre was created as a space for artists to create, meet, discuss and engage with each other as well as with the wider public.
With a future programme that includes workshop performances, readings, lecture demonstrations, art exhibitions, forums and conversations; Instant Café hopes that the space will become an alternative to the more traditional concepts of art housing, allowing cities and neighbourhoods to become infused with culture.
Every month, CHAI House plans to celebrate the themes of modern life. They also plan to invite in different guest curators each month who they hope will bring with them unexpected guests, alternative opinions and animated conversations. Future plans include offering art space, residencies and collaborations in Malaysia and throughout the region
