Smack bang opposite The Whisky Bar, occupying the space of El Cerdito, The Bier Bar is dedicated to all beer connoisseurs. It’s ironic that a bar named after a German word has ubiquitous Eiffel Towers (served as beer towers) all around. Attractive red and copper-coloured décor and high wooden chairs create the feel of a fin-de-siecle antique shop.

The Bier Bar isn’t revolutionary in concept, décor or drinks selection but it doesn’t need to be, because the USP here is the beers. The one metre long draught beer (approximately 11 glasses) is definitely the highlight of the bar along with half metre sausage and quarter metre schnapps. Yes, size matters here. So does the variety of imported beers. With a huge selection of brews from Germany, Mexico, Australia, Belgium, South Africa and more.
