Lava Bar
We all know Changkat’s bar population has exploded over the last few months, transforming the once calm dining haven into a heaving party zone. One of these newly opened places is Lava Bar. The latest address in the area is filled with female employees in tight outfits and the booming music may be a hint of things to come. Soft-lit and wooden-panelled, it’s a warm, cosy place.
Make your way up the spiral staircase to the second floor that’s littered with more seating spaces and a pool table. The bar area may be small but they do make up for it with their selection of drinks. There’s the Mudslide, a mix of Kahlua, Baileys and vodka topped with crushed ice. Another drink that is recommended is the Horse’s Neck, an unstable concoction made from brandy, Angostura bitters, ginger ale and lemon juice.
