No Black Tie

No Black Tie

Despite having had to close its doors for a while in 2004, the city’s best jazz venue is now a firm favourite on the city scene as an entertainment hotspot. The intimate wooden interior provides audiences with a delightfully cosy atmosphere. Mostly jazz sets are on offer, but No Black Tie has also hosted international poetry readings and readings by local writers.

Not just jazz, but all forms of exciting, strange, subterranean music too!! Keep checking the gig listings around town in magazines or online, there's always an exciting gig or two that features some really 'out there' bands! Some visiting overseas underground bands too!
