If you could use one word to describe this Malaysian songstress, persistent would be it. Khatijah Ibrahim has released numerous albums and penned most of the tracks in the albums during her long career. 30 years to be exact.

The veteran will be hosting a two day concert at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas as part of her pearl anniversary celebration. The celebration concert will also be a fundraising event and proceeds will be channelled to designated charities close to Kathy's heart.

Long time fans can expect hits such as ‘Ku Sangka Siang Kirany Malam’ and ‘Ku Pendam Sebuah Duka’ but with a fresh touch and reinterpretation. Ibrahim will also be taking a swing at classic standards from the likes of ‘Luck Be A Lady’ from the Broadway musical, ‘Guys and Dolls’ and ‘Don’t Rain On My Parade’ from ‘Funny Girl’. With such a prolifi c music journey, it’s no surprise that she has invited a number of accomplished composers, arrangers and musicians to join her on stage. The list includes Dato’ Ahmad Nawab, Ramli Sarip, Mac Chew, Andy Peterson, Jenny Chin, Steve Thornton and many other talented Malaysians.

Some may think Ibrahim is over the hill but why quit when she is still in demand?
