This new tea lounge at BSC is not your everyday mamak or tea junction. Staff at The Tea Republic (TTR) are serious about teas, and this is the place you’ll find exotic selections like Jasmine Silver Needle, Karkadé and Cederberg Rooibos – all served freshly brewed. The discreet tearoom, stowed away from the shopping crowd, has a homespun appeal what with its chic furniture and orange pillows.After all, teatime is about enjoying your cuppa in an undisturbed, comfortable environment, no?

The perfect pairing with your pekoe is none other than pastries and TTR has got that covered for you. It’s impossible not to be charmed with the trove of cookies, macarons and decorated cupcakes occupying that huge window display at the counter. We recommend the Banoffee Pie, Ginger & Pear Pudding and moist cheesecakes, which go down well with any type of tea.

Teatime treat here is rather fancy, since you’ll be drinking from dainty unique teacups while looking out the breezy balcony and taking advantage of their free WiFi. But what makes this hideout even more interesting is the retail corner that features magnets, greeting cards, teas and seasonal gift hampers.
