Tatsu
Just opened this year and this newcomer has already landed a spot in the Time Out KL Food Awards. Action starts at the congenial counter where chefs sculpt colourful seafood into dainty sushi. Tatsu beats its trendier competitors with a Zen garden and cascading waterfall – all the better for you to dine in a luxurious ambience. Apart from adventurous starters like the Amaebi sweet shrimp and Japanese yam with fried anchovy bruschetta, chefs here prepare foie gras fusion with aplomb, combining ingredients like cod fish and duck loin. Not to be outdone, their bar also whips up excellent wine-based and dessert cocktails that put ordinary watering holes to shame.
