They like their fresh food at BIG. Look out for the innovative hydrophonic lettuce shelf in the fruit and vegetable section, where the lettuce roots are left intact and fed by water pipes. You'll find frozen foods are of an eclectic mix to suit both gourmet tastes (Norwegian Salmon) and fast foodies (Ramly chicken nuggets). The wine section also takes itself pretty seriously and are arranged by grapes, rather than country. There are knowledgable staff on hand in each section and products are thoughtfully arranged in their various sections. Stock up on practical household items like washing detergents, food storage containers and toiletries too. The grocer also houses Ben's General Food Store which serves up fresh pizzas and salads.
