Stray Dog
Directed by Akira Kurosawa, this black and white film was produced in 1949. This action film tells the tale of a rookie detective, Murakami having his pistol stolen. The gun was later identified as the weapon involved in the shooting of a woman.
The rookie turns to his senior, Sato for help and goes on the hunt to catch the shooter before he strikes again.
This screening is part of Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur's Weekend Japanese Film Show programme. It showcases rare Japanese film shows monthly.
