Celebrities and well-known figures like George Clooney, Penelope Cruz and Erykah Badu to name a few, have used their prominence to create a significant impact on environmental and sustainable development issues simply by doing their bit for a greener world. They're part of the ten nominated celebrities up for the Most Responsible Celebrity award at the International Green Awards 2012.
Our own Chang Yoong Chia is in an enviable spot at the moment – he’s a finalist in the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Signature Art Prize 2011. His work ‘The World is Flat’ beat over 100 other nominated works to make it into the final 15 and whilst waiting to find out whether he’ll bag one of the main awards, you can guarantee his success in at least one area – the People’s Choice Award.

After over a month of receiving literally thousands of nominations, we’ve finally shortlisted the top five (some have six) for each of the awards’ 18 categories. In other words, this means that it’s your time to vote for the best outlet in each category; the winners of which will be revealed in the December issue of Time Out KL.
