It's brunch time - May issue out now

Whether you’re for savoury or sweet brunch meals, we have it all covered. Think pancakes, greasy fry-ups, French toast, banana leaf, dim sum and eggs. If that doesn’t sound like an impressive spread, we also round up the best buffet brunches in town – complete with cocktails, meats and pretty little tartlets. If you lean toward the idea of having alcohol during breakfast, read about where to get the best Mimosa, Bloody Mary and cider when the sun is still up. Continuing the brunch madness in Food, the Time Out KL team rummaged through their pantries for ingredients to create unusual (but perfect) brunch meals and spared enough time to review the latest Japanese buzz at Solaris Dutamas, Italian joint Verona Trattoria and the highly popular Fierce Curry House.

Moving on to Shopping & Style, we all know that bright colours are the newest shades of denim so we’ve picked out the best stores to get on with the trend, then flip through to Around Town for an exclusive interview with… lightsaber knights! 'Who?' you ask? They are a community that trains to bind the galaxy with glowing tubes – and they are very serious about it. This may well mark one of the funniest TOKL interviews, if we may say so ourselves.

In Film, discover the best coming your way in our round up of  summer blockbusters to hit Malaysian screens, then look out for an exclusive with local indie darlings The Impatient Sisters and the not-so-indie Love Me Butch in Music. If you’re flipping straight to our Nightlife section, we've compiled the latest crop of bars and clubs in KL so you know where to be seen at as the weekend beckons. In Theatre, the annual PJ Laugh Fest returns this year and promises the best of Malaysian comedy, so find out which shows you need to catch from the month-long fest. Finally, our Travel section takes a look at some of Asia’s best diving spots from Pulau Perhentian to Koh Lanta.
