It's a Friday and the weekend is just hours away. If waiting around for 5.30pm is getting too depressing for you, here's something that's sure to lift up your spirits this afternoon – baby pandas. Sliding down a slide.

It might be the sight of their fat, fluffy bottoms bobbing ever so cheerily as each cub climbs up and slides down again, the tumble of limbs as these balls of fluff crash into each other at the bottom of the slide, or even the look of sheer excitement on the cubs' faces when sliding down (the panda version of 'Weee!'); whatever it is, this video takes cuteness to an all-time high – and it didn't even need a cat in an intense battle with its own reflection.

Shot at the Chengdu Panda Base in China, right now we're wishing we could spend our days leading a troop of baby pandas on a slide (how does one get that job?).
