Malaysia Naïve Art Showcase 2008 Unlike most art forms, Naïve Art is uninfluenced by art traditions. Usually the work of artists who have no formal training, this unique art has no affiliation with any artistic theories or influences. Instead, the artists, who often hold humble occupations such as factory workers and farm-hands, are often self-taught, and draw inspiration from personal experiences. As a result, the works are often a product of instinct and spontaneity.
