Japan-based Malaysian artist Soh Boon Kiong will be having his first solo exhibition since his last which took place exactly 20 years ago. The artist’s decision to relocate to Japan was not a mistake as you can see the clear influence that the land of Bonsai trees have brought him. He has since stuck by his decision and will soon be displaying a collection of abstract and some of his stunning large poetic compositions.

It has been said that Soh’s work are greatly influenced by the French Impressionist painters as well as the lyrical abstraction movement in Paris, which happens to be where the artist will be showcasing his work next. His abstract works demonstrate the vibrancy of life in all its glorious colours.

He is closely associated with his stunning large poetic compositions, reflecting the acute sensitivities of a well cultured modern artist. His colour field paintings are proudly housed at many private and public collections both locally and abroad, where fine art meets fine living.
