MATAHATI, a leading contemporary Malaysian art collective formed in the 1980s will be holding an exhibition, organized by Galeri Petronas, showcasing the largest number of selected works to date.
The group comprising of Ahmad Fuad Osman, Ahmad Shukri Mohamed, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Hamir Soib @ Mohamed and Masnoor Ramli Mahmud have etched their names into the Malaysian art scene through various accomplishments individually as well as collectively.
The exhibition, MATAHATI - For Your Pleasure tells the story of the artists early development through to recent explorations in their practice, reflecting upon their insights and study of concerns regarding identity, representation, humanity, community, social responsibility and religion.
