Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

One of the most awaited events in Putrajaya is due to make a comeback.
You can experience what it feels like riding in a hot air balloon at the 2nd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2010 from 18 – 21 March 2010. The Malaysian Sport Aviation Federation (MSAF) and AKA Balloon Sdn Bhd will be co-organising the event, to be held at the car park area of the Monumen Alaf Baru at Presint 2, Putrajaya.
Come and see 23 specially designed hot air balloons from around the world. There will also be other side activities during the fiesta. These activities include:
- Tethered hot air balloon rides (8am-10.30am and 6pm-9pm)
- Sphere / Waterball rides
- Inflatables / bouncing world
- Autoshow
- Bazaar
- Petting Zoo
- Helicopter rides (8am-12noon and 3pm-7pm)
- and many more great family fun events.
The highlight of the event would be on Saturday, 20 March, where the nightglow display will be held, followed by a fireworks display (8.30pm). Entrance to the fiesta is free, and opens from 7am - 9pm.

cancellation tethered hot air balloon rides on thursday 18/3/2010
i already purchase the ticket but the rides been canceled because of the bad whether. When i try to ask for refund the secretariat booth already closed. can i used the ticket for the next rides maybe on Sunday evening?

how long is the hot air ballon & helicopter ride?
Hi Adrian, There are 2 types of balloon rides - the free fly and the tethered balloon rides. The free fly is not open to the public as these rides are dangerous and very expensive. The public can try the tethered rides, which means that the balloons will rise up to the height of between 60m - 100m, but the balloon will still have the anchor line from the ground. Be assured, the feeling is still great and the view awesome. And it's only for RM10.

Is it true that for the Hot Air Balloon, only for VIP to fly up in the air where else others visitors only get to stay in hot air balloon which is tied to the ground?
Helicopter rides
Helicopter rides are RM120 per person, only on saturday and sunday, from 8am – 12 noon and 3pm – 7pm
