Calling all budding writers. Fancy a chance of winning a laptop and RM5000 in cash? Then enter the MPH-Alliance Bank National Short Story Prize 2009 competition, which is taking place from the 27 October 2007 - 31 March 2009.

For those interested, there are two categories in which you can enter, the Adult (18 years and above) and the Teen (13 – 17 years) Category.

For the adult category, you must submit 1 copy of your short story (between 2500 – 7000 words) while for the teen category, you must submit 1 copy of your short story (between 2000 – 4000 words on the theme ‘Staying and Living’). Each submission must be accompanied together with a receipt of proof of purchase in the amount of RM10 from any MPH Bookstores. Each participants is allowed a maximum of 2 entries.
