This annual Japanese festival is held to honour the spirits ancestors that have passed on. It's a joyful occasion, bringing families together to celebrate rather than mourn the lives of the dearly departed.
Malaysia's 32nd Bon Odori is more a festival of Japanese culture with dances, music, food and plenty of other activities for the whole family.
